What Has Your Internet Marketing Consultant Done for You Lately?

If you’re interested in all that a consultant can do for your business online, an internet marketing consultant should be able to do great things for you on the internet. Whether you have already hired someone specialised in web-based marketing or are in the beginning stages of thinking about taking the plunge with respect to investing in your success, read on to understand a few things you should be able to expect — without question.

Listening Skills

Any internet marketing consultant who doesn’t want to learn a bit about your business and your goals isn’t going to likely do a very good job for you. By listening to you and by examining your existing infrastructure (or business plan if you’re not already in business), the consultant can begin to put a plan together that addresses where you’re at today and where you want to be at in the future. If your internet marketing consultant isn’t listening to you or isn’t asking any questions, you’re probably not going to get the results you’re hoping for. Your business is unique and so are your needs.

Extensive Research

Any online biz specialist knows that there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution for web-based success. In order to be able to compete online you’ll need to know a little bit about: your market, your customers, your competitors, etc. Research is a vital aspect of your strategy and if your internet marketing consultant hasn’t done any real research, they probably won’t be able to be very effective at helping you get traffic and market to your customers and prospective customers.

Ongoing Analysis

Internet marketing is not a one off. It’s a process. And an ongoing one at that. Your consultancy firm should be able to analyse whether or not the methods they are using to help you are working. Have they provided any reporting of what they’ve been able to do for you? Have they shown you concrete evidence that you’re getting return on your investment?

Results

If you’ve been at this for a while, have you seen results? There’s no real “success” gage to tell you how much your traffic should’ve increased in 90-days or how much your sales should be up by but if you’re not seeing an incline in the areas you’ve asked an internet consultant to improve on, it may be time to re-think your strategy and re-think who you’re trusting with your business.

Investing in the future of your business is smart — especially in the current economy and competitive landscape. Any internet marketing consultant that knows their “stuff” will listen to you, do their due diligence with respect to research, and will help you not just work on getting business today but will also help you work on sustainability for the long term.

Entrepreneurs, Achieve More! 12 examples of Coaching and Consulting that lead to Success

Consulting

Consulting taps into the expertise of the consultant’s experience. The client gains valuable insight that would normally take years and thousands sometimes millions of dollars if they were to go down the same path. Consultants usually charge a nominal fee compared to the information assets they have gained throughout the years. They have thoroughly studied the subject which entails thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours in information. They have met with industry leaders as well as “on the street” professionals so they have a good beat on what’s currently going on. They have a history even if just short history of the last cycle in the industry. Consultants may concentrate on techniques and raw resources they freely give as part of the sessions. Some consulting may only consist of one or two meetings, but if you’re taking notes they could make your next project a success.

Consultants do not give legal advice but may save you from needing it. Or they may suggest you seek it. Whereas your attorney should be cautious as to not give business advice (which happens all too often especially in real estate), your consultant has very little “power over your affairs” so conflicts are easily avoided. Seldom does a consultant run into a “conflict of interest” problem with their client but some align their resources to solve a problem. Consultants are used because it is not always black or white and they can help navigate through the grey and help you use an attorney to achieve your goals. Consultants are often the people who create turnkey packages together at a really good price. They tend to see the same mistakes and figure to come up with a product that helps thousands instead of one-on-one maybe a hundred or so.

My personal experience indicates my consulting is roughly 75% information, techniques, and resources. The other 25% is encouragement, reinforcement and follow-up.

Examples of Consulting Clients:

Example#1

A seasoned Los Angeles investor sought my help with a difficult situation with an apartment building in Hollywood, Ca. The old owner is meddling with his tenants. Client question: How do I resolve this issue?

Example#2

A large property management company needs to make more money off their tenants. More money for their managers and do this with little effort on their part without increasing their legal exposure. Client question: Is their a system, product or service that we can implement that can achieve our goals?

Example#3

A Los Angeles family has acquired several rental properties over the years. One in particular has been neglected and they want to know the best way they can get rid of it. Client Question: How do we sell the property smoothly?

Example#4

A Long Beach real estate investor loves her area. She has run a moderately successful advertising campaign but has hit a wall. After reviewing her customers she knows there is money to be made but now has limited funds to turn a profit. Client Question: Which direction should I go?

Example#5

An attorney has given up on a realtor who just can’t seem to get the job done on several rental properties in San Bernardino. These require management, light rehab and ultimately somehow turning a profit. Client Question: Can several properties in the desert be packaged to make money with little involvement and management?

Example#6

A Chicago investor has put a property under contract. He needs money and an exit strategy. There are some problems put he’s too busy to figure them out. He and his wife work full time, they own 2 other rental properties but time is ticking. Client question: Is this a good deal and what is the right exit strategy?

Example#7

The City of Los Angeles has a landmark building that they leased to the fiber optic industry. With the neighborhood changing the property could be used as a market or such. Client Question: Are their private investors with the ability to convert this landmark building into a useful private project for the community to add value?

All were given creative techniques, resources and even my own hands-on to solve their problems and produce Win-Win-Win.

Coaching

Coaching is a co-creative experience with the client and coach. They both adventure step-by-step uncovering new information and solutions. The coach creates a comfortable non-judgmental mirror to help the client see another perspective on their own situation. Some of the greatest personal achievers have and use coaches throughout their careers. The coach definitely encourages, and challenges the client to push through barriers but is careful not to define or evaluate for the client. This wonderful journey is for the client to experience.

The coach is not used to find solutions but rather bring to light the solutions already in plain view or hiding behind some fear or other barrier. The coach easily sees it and helps the client to get there on their own. Great athletes explain their experience with their coach very well. They attribute the coach, in helping them see the solution which allows them to raise the stakes on their own challenges after conquering such problems they achieve greatness in their fields. Coach are often writing inspirational books and holding seminars to help others achieve more.

My personal experience indicates my coaching is roughly the opposite of consulting, 75% encouragement, giving other point of view, reinforcement, acknowledgement, and follow-up. The other 25% is information, techniques, and resources carefully given so the client can find the real solutions.

Examples of Coaching clients:

Example#1:

A filmmaker wants to get his film more publicity and exposure. He some local stars and film is in the box. He hired an entertainment attorney, for $7000 who was supposed to shop it around and sell it.

Example#2:

All my coaching clients are treated with a specialized respect to their needs as they move to the top of their fields. All of them have a measurable amount of success and know they want to achieve more.

Coaching and Consulting clients. Different needs but same results: moving step-by-step to the top.

Three Tips to Getting the Best Out of Consultants – By a Former Management Consultant

If you’re thinking of bringing management consultants into your organisation, you need to make sure that you do it on your terms, not theirs. Most consultancies employ bright, ambitious talented people, whose aim will be to sell you work. The author of this article used to work as a management consultant, and so is perfectly positioned to advise you on how to maximise the benefits of using a consultancy while minimising the costs. Read on for our 3 inside tips!

Tip One – Involve your Staff

Here’s the truth: it’s likely that the staff working for the consultancy that you invite into your organisation will be better than your own staff. The reasons why are obvious: if you’re an ambitious young thing who wants variety and challenge (not to mention a higher salary), you’ll sign up to join a consultancy rather than seek a career with a single company.

This means that a consultancy will be able to complete almost any task in your organisation better – and more quickly – than inhouse staff. However, when the consultants eventually leave (and unless you have an infinite budget, they will), all of the expertise that they have built up in your company will walk out of the door with them.

This is why it is vital that you stipulate – insist – that every project undertaken by consultants contains at least one member of your staff on the project team. Do like the Japanese did in the 1970s: try to assimilate as much knowledge as you can from others so that you can then do the same thing, but more cheaply.

Tip Two – KISS

KISS - Keep It Simple, Stupid - should be written on the heart of every project manager. When in doubt, faced with two options, then other things being equal you should always go for the simpler path.

Unfortunately, consultants are, like you, only human, and will respond to incentives in a predictable way. The ambitious young management consultant will always opt for the more lucrative option, especially as complex projects give him or her a chance to justify his or her large fees.

Tip Three – Set the Agenda

Always remember – he who pays the piper calls the tune. If you want a system written in some obscure software package, then find a consultant who’ll do it. Any project involving external suppliers should put the needs of your organisation first, second and third.

Be assertive in meetings – remember, you’re paying the bills!

Conclusion

If you follow these 3 tips, you should avoid being fleeced by management consultants, and be able to use them productively!

4 “No Brainer ” Ways to Change Your Life

4 “No Brainer” Ways to Change your Life…
2 years ago, when I was on vacation in Agadir, Morocco, I was sitting in a local coffee shop by the beachfront Marina with my family, I started to think about what was the BIG change that made me successful in my own online business?

After some thought, I came up with 4 principles that I thought were the main kick-starter for me…

Maybe only those with a certain mindset will be able to truly see it. This is just one of several ways lucky people create their own fortunes.

To put these simple principles into action, here are four tips, (if you like) for creating more luck …

Expect Good Things to Happen. This is so powerful and rewires your brain. It programs you to find good things.

In many cases, those good things were already there, just waiting to be discovered…

But mental programming is strong. It makes us overlook “treasures” that are right in front of our noses.

The brain has to process a ton of input every day — and not everything we see makes its way to our conscious mind.

So, we have to choose what to focus on …

Fortunately, by focusing your conscious attention on the good rather than the bad, you can “train” your mind to find things that contribute positively to your life.

This actually becomes a great habit to have in your locker. Because there are things you may have otherwise overlooked.

2. Be Grateful.

When you start looking for things to be thankful for, you’re likely to find more and more reasons to feel grateful.

And really, gratitude is just another word for feeling lucky.

In my experience, gratitude leads to more energy and motivation. As such, it’s much easier to create positive changes in life when you have a firm foundation of gratitude.

A daily gratitude journal (which can be as simple as writing down one thing you’re grateful for) is a great place to start.

3. Be Generous.

What goes around comes around. You never know if someone you help may find their way to success, or how that favor might be returned to you in an unexpected way.

That doesn’t mean you should do nice things with the intent of someone owing you a favor, though. Instead, developing genuine relationships is key.

It also doesn’t mean you should overextend yourself, trying to help everyone to the point where you’re exhausted. and not making time for yourself Instead, it’s about finding balance.

That balance will look a little different for everyone, depending on your life and obligations.

But even when life is busy, you’re likely to find occasions now and again when you feel inspired and capable of giving someone else a helping hand.

4. Trying New Things.

If what you’re currently doing hasn’t gotten you closer to where you want to be, then take a long look at yourself, isn’t it time to take 2021 by the horns.

Don’t get stuck in a rut. Do something different.

I don’t know why people are constantly doing the same thing over, and over again, and expecting different results?

Several life coaches I know argue that by changing up your routine, you open yourself to new possibilities.

There are both emotional and practical factors at play here …the brain needs new challenges.

On the practical side, trying something new will introduce you to new people, places, and ideas. Any of these things could lead to a totally unexpected opportunity in your professional or personal life.

On the emotional side, consider this: Often, we get stuck in our routines. Even if we think we’re open to change, it’s hard to get out of our comfort zone and change our habits. (And yes, I’ve been guilty of this myself in the past.)

By changing our routine, we mentally open up to positive changes and look at challenges from new angles.

To start, this change can be as big or as small as you’d like.

For example, is it time to change your job?

Or is it time to start small, with taking a new route home from work, reading in the evening instead of watching the news, or signing up for that art class, what about that home business you’ve been considering?

If you’re not sure where to begin, I’d recommend a small change to your daily schedule (like a short morning walk) or picking up a new hobby just for fun.

So, there you go, 4 “No Brainer” ways to change your life. After a year where many have felt powerless or overwhelmed, I hope you find these tips useful for writing a new story for yourself in 2021.

Let’s all make the New Year a year for new and exciting opportunities.

How Your Business Can Survive The Coronavirus

As the world has hit the metaphorical panic button during the rise of Coronavirus (Covid-19) cases worldwide, the daily reality for people and businesses is rapidly changing. Practically overnight, businesses have been forced out of the comfort zone of face-to-face contact, now having to heavily rely on digital platforms.
Businesses, especially, are struggling with figuring out how to survive by using digital communication techniques. With the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and government officials emphasizing “social distancing and mandatory nonessential business closures,” technology such as live video conferencing, chat boxes, and email will be the basis for millions of Americans for their jobs, schooling, and everyday communication. So, with so many players in the game, how can businesses continue to function successfully? Higher Images, a 20-year-old full-service digital marketing agency located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is helping organizations, businesses, and the community re-imagine what their lives and work-life will look like through web-based technology and mobile devices. President and CEO of Higher Images, Bryan Thornberg, says, “Rather than going into crisis mode, businesses should take this as an opportunity to expand their knowledge and reach.

With many more people relying on digital communication, this is an ideal opportunity for businesses to break boundaries and try new techniques when connecting with clients.”Thornberg and his team want to help people not just survive this crisis but to thrive during it and come out with an organization and business model stronger than ever. Thornberg has already been able to impact his clients by thinking outside the box and recommending the usage of technology such as live feeds and Facetime. For example, a hot tub distributor – a business that relies on their retail location for sales – took the recommendation of Thornberg and is now offering live video conferencing for customers to do live demonstrations of products and make purchases.

Higher Images also urges businesses to utilize their existing websites to drive business: for example, adding a chat-box function to their website for customer communication, allowing organizations to respond to clients in real-time from the convenience of a cell phone or office computer from any location in the world. With higher internet traffic, this is also a key time for organizations to utilize search engine marketing, Google ads, and mobile in-app advertising technology such as Web tracker, which geo-fences homes to enhance brand visibility. Strategizing with a digital marketing company like Higher Images will provide businesses with the tools they need to succeed.
